When you intend to let the slurry pump stop working, there are some point that you should know:
1, Before stopping, please let the pump work with clean water for 20-30 minutes, to clear the pump, make the impeller, and other flow parts clean.
2, Open the bottom valve and close the outlet valve. The water in the pump chamber and suction pipe will be discharged. Some of the water will be at the bottom of the pump casing and at the lower end of the outer diameter of the impeller.
Although the water cannot be drained clearly, it is with small amount, will not cause the slurry pump to freeze in winter time
If you still want to drain this water, you can add a drain hole (observation hole) on the suction pipe, open it after stopping the pump, extend the soft hose to the bottom of the pump chamber, and drain the remaining water by relying on the auxiliary pump or siphon principle.
